Jay, I get your point. But ecash is sorta like a clearinghouse, a 3rd party processor.

As for as I know they have an impeccable record.

Sounds good

Maybe ecash could be an alternative to using all that other shit you listed.

IMO Paypal was the first the best and the last.

I must agree on PayPal... I still use PayPal weekly even after the gaming ban.

Besides EBay, I pay most all of my monthly bills w/paypal. Use the debit card all of the time.

PayPal is a bunch of thieves and incompetents. Good luck to you if you ever have the misfortune of making a "suspicious transaction." They have over $30k of my money locked in an account, that has been there since early last year when I attempted to make a wire transfer out of PayPal into an account outside the US ... the fact that I am in the US and the account was outside of the US is the only thing that conceivably could have flagged the transaction as "suspicious" yet even that is ridiculous logic ... how many people and companies in the US have at least some form of logical reason to have at least one bank account in another country?

Have a look here for a long list of grievances from a wide variety of people. It's easy to say, "Well I've never had a problem with them" but frankly, when you see this many people receiving the kind of treatment from a company that these people have from PayPal, you have to wonder if you've just been lucky, or if you might be next.

You might also have a look at this thread at the Rx regarding EBay's "security" head (EBay now owns PayPal.) He promises to "hook you up" with the PayPal people if you ask him to.
